Hi everybody - haven't been on the forum for a while. Have been out in the bush doing some training and putting together an overland expedition into the Namibian desert - didn't have much time time to read or write. I was on the forum some time ago regarding mocs for hunting and tracking purposes. I eventually put together some nice cape buffalo hide mocs, but am still battling with the soles. Then I remembered a scene from The Hunted (Tom Lee Jones and B Del Toro) where they specifically referred to his tracking shoes - silent trackers made with what looked to me like a modern day composite) Anybody have an idea what that is, or who made those ?The look ideal for what we do out here - I think he referred to it as slippers.

   

Do a google search for "Russel Moccasin". If you are willing to put down some cash, they have very nice boots.
