I saw that in their catalogue and I think it would be a practical substitute for a high priced knife. It's got the look of a bowie and has a backbrace. I plan on buying one in a bit so I'll write a full review if I get it.
Nice enough looking, and it's a decent price, but I haven't had much luck with mil-spec knives. Just personal experience though. If you want a great knife, check the classifieds. My RAT-7 is up for sale there, and I have no use for it so I'd probably bargain with you a bit.

Hey I know this has been up for a bit but Ive been gone for awhile!! In the B.F.K. catagory make sure you know what steel your getting most of the less pricy units will be 440, If you see 420 or even 410 stay clear. Unless its just for show, if thats the case then its fine but for field use just think about building a lean-to in a storm for the night and having your B.F.K. snap in half do to low grade steel..... not a good feeling!!

Oh yea, nice to be back!

Welcome back! Where have you been? This place is rather dead now, however... :(
