 Help With A Backpack?

At the end of last year, my Swedish Army surplus backpack really started rubbing on my lower back. I think I should invest in a good backpack for what I have planned. I was looking at the Kelty Trekker 3950 external frame pack. I need little more than a day pack and the gear will be mostly for the longer hikes where I may have to stay overnight...



The other option was the Red Cloud 5600 shown here:


Any advice is appreciated...
